I don't normally do testimonials but this bike is really great! I had been watching a lot of videos about RE bikes and really thought I wanted a Meteor 350 (thanks to old man ronin especially). I emailed Destination Cycle to schedule a test ride and decided to test a Classic 350 as well. When I arrived Tanner had both bikes ready to go, so we wasted no time and rode both bikes. I live around 5 hours from Kerrville so scheduling was a must. After riding both bikes I had a dilemma, which one? I didn't really think I would like the Classic as well because I was used to riding cruisers, I didn't think I would like the riding position but it was good. So Tanner had a good thought, " pretty bike or cool looking bike" I chose the cool looking Classic 350 Signals!
It's a great bike and the folks at destination were great to work with!

Just wanted to give a shoutout and big thanks to Leslie at Destination Cycle -- very much appreciate the time she spent and help she provided on my recent motorcycle purchase. Very responsive to questions, looked up information for me and brought in one of the mechanics to get me another piece of info relating to the wheels/tires, and was a big help on getting the bike situated and secured properly on my trailer when I came to pick it up. Living in Austin I was a little apprehensive at first on driving a couple hours for a motorcycle purchase, but after the great experience I'm really glad it was Destination Cycle that had this bike I wanted -- well worth the drive and very happy to support a terrific local business. I've been stopping by for years picking up parts for my ATV, and Chuck always took very good care of my needs. Last year, we bought a CanAm UTV and are really pleased with it. I had it serviced recently, and Jack and Chuck did a great job getting it in and back out quickly. Even Crankshaft the cat let me pet him...and no scratches! All really nice folks - even the cat!

Good things do come to those who wait. Ive wanted a FJR1300 for many years but it was a bittoo pricy to buy new. Since I wanted a Gen III I had to wait years for used FJRs to be for sale. Untill, I saw an ad for a new 2018 discounted way down, at Destination Sports in Kerrville Texas and learned that yes it was still greatly reduced. When I walkedin, I was greeted by Andrea who later sold me the motorcycle. Shes knowledgable and competentto share the advantages and disadvantages of types and model charecteristics. I thought Ihad done my research into Sports Touring but was amazed at the changes since last I looked.Andrea worked with me to include many extras so that when I picked it up, it was so perfect.
I then sat down with Cambell who eagerly went thru about 10 different financing senarios.When I finally made up my mind, Campbell had it sorted, and printed. About 3 years ago I was looking for an WR 250 R and got a good offer from a very helpful lady. I subsequently found one with 267 miles so I didn't buy from Destination Cycles. Finding a bike is easy, finding the perfect bike is a whole other game. The folks at Destination Cycle are above and beyond your normal shop, with just the right amount of cycle crazy in them. Not only did they get me the perfect bike, Honda F6B (Flat Six Badass) Goldwing , they went above and beyond, picking me up at the airport was just the being, when we got to their shop in Kerrville Tx. They were very through in going over the bike and made sure I was a 100 % ready (safety First) for my 1350 mile trip back to the Salt Lake City Area. The only down side of my trip home was some how in Roswell NM the alleins got my Destination hat that the owner gave me. The bike was better than i could have imagined. I don't usually write to companies BUT I had such a Great experiance with a Very Imperssive Employee of yours by the name of Jeff Lavender in your service department that I felt the need to share it with you. I was on my way to Bandera for the bike rally April 31, 2016 when my Clutch Cable stopped working. I called Destination Cycle because I ride a Yamaha V-Star 1300 I talked to Jeff and even though y'all were about to close he waited on me to get it there. ( 1st * ) The nex day he work his tail off trying to get it fixed and on the road so I could enjoy the Beautiful countryside (2nd **) He was extremely proffessional and so very nice to deal with (3rd **) If you are unaware and I doubt you are Jeff is an asset to your company!!! I want to express my appreciation for the service provided by Jeff on 1-15-16. I called in that morning with my concern about something wrong with the rear brake on my Burgman Executive. The brake lever was very difficult to pull with little or no braking. The symptoms were inconsistent and showed up shortly after they had put on a new rear tire. This situation had shaken my confidence riding the bike. He had me bring the bike in immediately, thoroughly examined it and corrected 2 issues in short order. The problem was not related to the tire change as I had feared. Having ridden the bike on winding ranch roads, I again feel comfortable and confident on the bike. I have been riding since I returned from my overseas service in '91 and have never been so happy and confident in my motorcycle repairs and the shop/staff that did them. Jeff, Cliff, and Paul were absolutely professional, personable, helpful, and evidenced a top notch knowledge about motorcycles and what it would take to make my bike fly!I feel that the Service Department is what makes a dealership great. A new bike is a new bike is a new bike but when you need it assembled correctly in the first place or repaired then that is where the rubber meets the road.Your Service Team sets your dealership above every other dealership that I have ever experienced. My 2007 FJR1300 suffered a Ground Spider failure in Nov. of 2014. Fortunately, the Ground Spider recall had been complied with, and Service Manager Jeff Lavender was able to have the repairs covered under warranty. It took 12 days or so to get a new wire harness, and once the harness was installed, it was discovered that the ECU was fried. About a week later a new ECU was installed and I was on the road again, but I felt like something wasn't quite right. I returned the FJR to Jeff and my tech Paul Farris. After more diagnostic work, they found out the coils were bad. As a retiree on a fixed income, there is no way I could have afforded the expense of having the FJR repaired, and I do not have the mechanical skill to have done the repairs myself. Without the exemplary services provided by Jeff Lavender and Paul Farris, my FJR days would have been over. Jeff and Paul, Thank You for your efforts in my behalf. Bob and Sarah, Thank You for the leadership that breeds this kind of customer service.

Three Hundred miles from home, and for the first time in 15 years, my Suzuki would not fire as the starter rolled it over. This required a diagnostic check of all things electrical. Destination Cycle not only did this but found a wrecker service who would pick up my bike when all others we called were too busy to help. All this was done knowing it would put their service department staying over well past quitting time. Destination did this all with Texas friendlyness and humor (Jeff) and Texas charm and grace (Sarah), at a price that was less than I would have paid in my own home town. Also, a bad rectifier isn't an obvious component to trouble shoot. Jeff and his crew nailed it. We got back on the road and enjoyed many more miles thanks to these folks. I had a recall issue while down in Fredericksburg. Called him up about it and he did not have the part but called me back the NEXT DAY and said come on in we got your part. WOW. Took the time to spell out a real nice ride back to Fredericksburg after the bike was done.

I was looking for a 2014 Yamaha Super Tenere which, as of this writing, just came on the market. I live in Austin, Tx, and Destination Cycle was the only dealer that I could find in Central Texas that had this bike. Not only that, they had both the standard version and the ES and they were offering $1000 off MSRP on both. None of the other dealers in the area could tell me when they would get it or if they would offer any discounts. The financial officer mentioned that they are the only Pro Yamaha Gold level Yamaha dealer in Texas, so maybe that's why they had it before everyone else. I contacted Destination through their Cycle Trader ad, Jason L gave me the full price breakdown over email for the ES, and I agreed to a deal on the phone. They took a small credit card deposit to hold it and we arranged a time where I would come pick it up. Pretty easy! Side note - Kent Powersports in San Antonio also listed the 2014 Super Tenere (S10) for sale on Cycle Trader but after contacting them they said they didn't actually have one, didn't know when they would get one, and tried hard to sell me on a 2013. Super lame. Anyway, I made the 2hr drive to Kerrville from Austin with the gf, ate some barbecue, and went to pick up the bike. It's a nice clean shop with a showroom that favors cruisers - which makes sense given that it's in the Hill Country and that's the most common type of rider out there. The bike was exactly as described. Jason got the process started, I had a quick conversation with Ken the sales manager, and then I went through the paperwork with Crista in finance. No surprises, they offered me some service packages which I declined, and they didn't give me the hard sell on them which I appreciated. Next I met with Jeff the Service Manager and he went over the bike with me in detail. Jason told me that Jeff lives and breathes bikes and I can certainly believe it after he went over the S10 with me. Very thorough. While we were talking, Bob Kee (the owner) walked by and exchanged a few words with me - very friendly guy. All in all it was a great experience. And then I got to take my new S10 on a 2hr ride back to Austin on a beautiful sunny day. Hard to beat that. I'm surprised there is only one other review of them on Yelp right now because they've been in business since 2000 according to their web site. I can't say enough about the wonderful folks at Destination Cycle. Amazing would probably sum it up the best. My uncle and I planned a long weekend ride in the Hill Country. We met in Fredericksburg on a Saturday afternoon, and as we were unloading my bike from the trailer we noticed the back tire had a cut in the sidewall. After a quick call to Destination Cycle we were assured that they would keep a tech a little late to help us out. Sarah Kee in service, a great tech who's name I did not get, and Maggie the dog went above and beyond what I would ever expect from a shop an hour before closing for the weekend. They got my bike up and running, fitted my uncle for a new helmet, and were genuinely happy to do it. We had a wonderful ride on Sunday and were talking about the guys the whole time. Then mother nature came in to the picture. We were caught a bit off guard by the extremely cool weather that was predicted for Monday and especially Tuesday morning. My uncle was riding his home to East Texas and had to leave early Tuesday. Although I had brought an appropriate jacket that he could borrow to get home in, he was without warm pants. We searched all over for overalls or something of the like with no luck. We decided to head back to Kerrville and see if we could find anything. On the way my uncle said I think I'll stop by the bike shop and see if we can catch someone there". I told him he was crazy. Well, there was someone there. Bob Kee, the owner, was at the shop seemingly doing some paperwork. We knocked and told him our situation. He let us in and we looked around for some pants. They did not have anything appropriate in stock, but Bob went around back and came back with a pair of his personal riding pants. Told us he was planning on selling them in the next garage sale and let us have them for a very fair price. Again, they saved the day. Needless to say, I'd encourage anyone that needs cycle stuff to look these guys up. Next time I'm in the market for a bike, I'll make the trip up there to give them my business. I had never been to Destination Cycle before, but after my Honda trike left me stranded on the side of the road, they were there to save the day. I took in the trike and Chuck was extremely helpful and professional. After an inexpensive diagnostic the shop found that I had a minor issue and was out the door within a couple of days. She introduced me to Ken, the sales manager, at some point during my first visit to Destination. He also is very knowledgeable. Within minutes, I felt as though we had known each other for years. When the time came to close the deal and proceed with all the paperwork, Sarah came into the picture. Sarah, you made the process easy and fun. Your husband Bob took the time to visit with me while we were doing paperwork. He too rides an FJR and passed on tons of information about the bike. Shortly thereafter, I found myself being introduced to Jeff, your Service Manager. He is a great guy. He thoroughly familiarized me with the 06 FJR1300 I just purchased. Destination saved the day again! Was riding in to see some family and my tires started feeling funny about 30 miles to Kerrville. When I swung by the shop I didn't have an appointment, but the team got right on my bike. I was passing through from Tampa Florida (Daughters wedding) to North Plains, Oregon. I was out on the interstate and the back tire on my 86 GoldWing started throwing chunks and running on the steel belts. I am now on my 2nd bike (04 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600cc), which I bought in Oct of 2007. This is my 2nd bike that I have purchased from Destination Cycle, the 1st was a 2002 Suzuki 800cc which I kept for 2 yr's, and then bought the present bike that I am riding now. What power, big jump from 800-1600cc! My name is Gary from Diana TX, which is in the northeast corner of the state. Last Friday, Sept 7, I was on my way home from a ride to the hill country. I lost a bolt from my floorboard and shifter assembly on my Roadstar. I used some zipties to hold things together. I arrived at Destination CycleSports between 4 and 4:30. You folks found a bolt to fix my bike and had me back on the road in minutes, then refused payment. I ride with 2 friends who ride Harleys. We were on our way from our home in San Dimas, CA to Slidell, LA on July 28 to pick up a 1985 Yamaha RZ500 that we purchased on eBay when we happened to meet Ed Johnson at a roadside rest area in Kerrville. He was on his way back from California riding his FJR1300 and said he used to work at your dealership and if we ever needed anything to get in touch with Bob Kee. How profound those words would turn out to be. On our way back with the bike in the van on August 2, the fuel smell was about killing us so we stopped in to see what could be done. Paul dropped everything, got us right in and had us quickly back on the road. We arrived home yesterday safe and sound and would just like to thank Paul and everyone at your dealership for a job well done. I have a used 2004 V star 1100 Silverado bought from a private seller in San Antonio, I didn't even know how to ride the bike when I bought it, a friend rode it home for me. June of 2006 I bought a 2001 Suzuki 1200 Bandit from Destination, Wes helped me with the sale. Basically I bought the bike sight unseen trusting to the reputation of the shop. After about a week of riding I noticed something not right with the aftermarket exhaust system on the bike. I returned the bike and Paul, Wes, and Chuck were all over it. It turned out that the exhaust system had been jury rigged together by the previous owner and was incorrect for the bike. I had to leave town for five days and left the bike with them. I had nightmares about what I expected to return to. When I picked the bike up it had a brand new Yoshi" exhaust system on it. CHECK THIS OUT there was no charge. Here is a dealership that has an honest customer service work ethic. They went way beyond what I had expected of them. If you ride a motorcycle or are in the market to buy one, you owe it to yourself to give this dealership a chance to add you to the family. "

On Saturday, March 11th 2006 my 2004 Roadstar was experiencing carb flooding and dying out on me. I was on a bike trip from Houston in the Kerrville area, so I was a long way from home. I was in need of a left side mirror for my wife's 650 Vstar custom, and Chuck in parts was very helpful in disscussing options for our plight. I told him we were in the hill country only for the week and really had hoped for an inexpensive and quick fix for the time being, and he showed up with a slightly" scratched mirror that would work perfectly. Took delevery of a '02 Suzuki Intruder Volusia 800 on the 15th of Dec 04, a Christmas present to myself. I had been looking around for about 1 year trying to talk myself into buying another motorcycle, had promised myself that I would when I retired from the military. Fell in love with about 5 motorcycles at DestinationCycleSports and had decided on getting a Honda 1100cc when things in my life changed and had to back out of the deal that Angel, Wes, and Brad helped me set up. But things always work out for the best, and I found the above cycle and fell in love with it and threw caution to the wind and bought it. What I liked best about the whole deal was the friendly staff of people that Bob and Sarah have working for them. I have know these people for about 5-6 years from a previous job that I had here in Kerrville. Having nothing but time on my hands at this point and needed a few minor adjustments, I called back on the 16th of Dec 04, and was told to bring the bike in. When I got there, Wes meet me before I was off of my bike and told me to wheel it around to the back shop area where the staff jumped on it and had me out the door before I could do any damage to my Suzki credit card that was burning a hole in my wallet. I will be going back on the 18 Dec 04, for the meeting that they have on Saturday and see if I can pick me up some needed riding apparel. 5 Stars isn't enough for the overall dealership experience that I experienced; it should be up there around 10 STARS! I could have gone to San Antonio or Marble Falls to get my bike, but I like to have the hometown friendly experience that I received when I was just window shopping for 2 yr's. I will be back. OH, before I forget, you are family when you shop there wheather you buy from there or not....Ron

Thanks to all the people that stuck around Saturday afternoon to help me out with a new(and badly needed) back tire. Chuck,Paul and the pit crew": what a wonderful group! I called about a hour before close on Saturday needing a rear tire for my Road Star Warrior. I was in Leaky with another couple at the time. Paul told me to come over because they were waitng on someone else to help load up a bike. Upon my arrival Chuck and one of the other guys came out front to meet me. Chuck and I walked around back and the other guy took off on my bike. Chuck called me in to start a work order ticket. About the time that was finished and I paided for everything the four dedicated guys working on my bike were all but done. They finshed before the other couple I was with showed up at your dealership. Man I just can't say THANK YOU enough. I know that I would have never found that kind of service in Austin on a Saturday after closing time. You guys saved my weekend and still gave me time to ride. What a Great bunch. Dear Staff, From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you. It takes planning to get some quality time away with a loved one. Such time is cherished and disappointment hard felt. This past Labor Day weekend was one such time, all the promise of a great weekend with plenty of opportunity for disappointment. We left Houston early on Friday afternoon, and using Kerrville as our base, we decided our first ride on Saturday would be to Enchanted Rock. On the return journey, the Valkyrie started acting up. There was a nasty crunching and clanking sound. It just got worse until I was afraid something was going to seize up. A thumb through the yellow pages at a local gas station lead me to your establishment. Angel answered the phone and encouraged me to get the bike in. She put me through to Paul, who assured me he would do everything he could to help. I limped the bike another 2 miles into your shop, all the time fearing that it might be the final drive or worst still, the gear box self destructing. On my arrival, Paul tested the bike and wheeled it in for immediate attention. Not once did I hear, we dont service that make of bike or we dont stock parts for that or even theres nothing we can do at this late hour. Instead James, Larry and the guys went to work like an INDY pit crew. They had the bike jacked up and the rear wheel off before the pipes had cooled down. The efficiency of the tear down and diagnosis had provided Chuck with enough time to hustle the local parts supply houses to find the desperately needed part, a cratered rear wheel bearing. We got lucky, the part was located and a rider dispatched to get it. The re-build went just as smoothly. It was past closing time by now. But nobody went home until we were mobile again, our smiles restored and our weekend saved. As a small business owner, I have often heard the adage A companys best assets are its people Never have I seen that better illustrated than by the fine folks at Destination CycleSports in Kerrville. I walked in with my wife just to show her the ones I liked so she could see what I was talking about. We ran into a young man named Luke while we were there and he was willing to answer any questions or just leave us alone. He came by after a bit while we were looking at a brand new defender line stare addition and though out the MSRP and what he could do to get us a deal. The price was to good for my wifes ears and she proceeded to tell luck that I needed it and how I better get it!
I think most wives would roll their eyes or something but mine was all over it and really wanted me to have it.
To make a long story short, Luke got us hooked up and there were no hidden fees or anything like that, just an honest, easy business deal with ZERO pressure from anyone there.
Side note: finance and the parts department were equally impressive. I would highly recommend to ask for Luke if you go there!
